This is only the fifth Bluethroat I ever fumigate, but of course it didn’t have any lice. I did collect some wing mites from it, though, and have been collecting wing mites from a range of birds so far. I know nothing about them, though, but unless there is someone else who wants them, it may form the basis of another application for money from the Swedish taxonomy Initiative, perhaps.
27 birds were searched today, of which only a House Sparrow Passer domesticus had lice.
