Here are some birds I saw when I was out in Big Cottonwood Canyon last fall with Heidi:
American Dipper Cinclus mexicanus
Steller’s Jay Cyanocitta stelleri
I’m especially pleased with the last one, despite its shortcomings, as I find this is a bird that is typically very hard to get close to. It tends to jump away and hide behind some branches, and all you get is the tail or the back.
